Altazor
Altazor is an ambitious literary experiment at the intersection of poetics, ontology, and the philosophy of language. At its centre are questions concerning the relationship between the subject and the world, the limits of human knowledge, and the possibility of bringing new realities into being through poetic creation. The poem explores the metaphysical dimensions of existence through the recurring image of the fall, which functions as both an existential and a cosmological metaphor. This descent becomes a trajectory through which the speaker confronts the instability of human identity, the limits of rational understanding, and the absence of any assured foundation for existence. The fall thus extends beyond its immediate poetic imagery to encompass a broader inquiry into the human condition and the place of consciousness within the universe.
